Little Signs That I Must Be Doing Something Right

Shortly after the boys had been released from a time-out resulting from a major episode that had something to do with matchbox cars, they were in their room playing. I was in the living room folding laundry (within earshot but out of sight.) Jack, my two year old, says to his brother, ” My mommy is mean.” Andy, who’s 4, replies, “Our mom is not mean. She’s frustrated because we make really bad choices when we fight and are mean to each other.” Jack had no reply. WOW!! Go Andy! I always knew he was a smart cookie. :)
